Individual therapy

Tailored, individualised speech pathology services for adults and children.

Speech Sounds & Motor Speech

Speech differences can occur for a range of reasons, including how speech sounds are learned, challenges with motor planning, or underlying neurological conditions.

We support:

  • Speech sound development
  • Articulation and phonological patterns
  • Motor planning and sequencing (including Childhood Apraxia of Speech)
  • Speech clarity and intelligibility
  • Communication across everyday environments

Therapy focuses on building accurate, functional speech skills that carry over into real-life settings such as home, school, work, and the community.

Receptive and Expressive Language

We support individuals to strengthen both their understanding and use of language, helping them communicate more effectively in everyday interactions and learning environments.

We support:

  • Vocabulary and concept development
  • Sentence structure and grammar
  • Expressing ideas and organising thoughts
  • Understanding spoken information and instructions
  • Language skills for learning and classroom participation

Support is designed to be practical and meaningful, with strategies that carry over across home, school, work, and community environments.

Social Communication

Social communication involves understanding social cues, conversations and adapting communication across different environments. Communication styles vary, particularly for neurodivergent individuals. Our approach supports authentic communication while building skills to navigate everyday environments.

We support:

  • Conversational skills and turn-taking
  • Topic maintenance and listening skills
  • Perspective-taking and understanding different viewpoints
  • Understanding social expectations across environments
  • Strategies for navigating misunderstandings and communication differences

We also work with families, educators, and support teams to build understanding of neurodivergent communication and support more effective, respectful interactions.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

Some individuals benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to support their ability to communicate. AAC can include communication boards, visual systems, speech-generating devices, and communication apps.

Support may include:

  • AAC assessment and system selection
  • Trial and implementation of communication devices and apps
  • Building functional communication across everyday environments
  • Supporting language development through AAC
  • Training for families, teachers, and support teams
  • Ongoing review and adjustment of AAC systems

Our goal is to support communication that is functional, meaningful, and accessible across all environments.

Literacy and Learning

Speech pathology supports the language foundations needed for reading, spelling and writing. Targeted support can strengthen literacy skills and learning strategies.

Support may include:

  • Phonological awareness
  • Reading accuracy and comprehension
  • Spelling and written language
  • Language for curriculum learning
  • Strategies to support learning and organisation

Therapy focuses on building skills that support success in school, study, and everyday life.

Executive Functioning & Regulation

Executive functioning involves the skills needed to plan, organise, focus and manage everyday tasks. Support can help strengthen these skills to improve communication, learning and independence.

Support may include:

  • Planning and task initiation
  • Working memory and attention
  • Flexible thinking and problem-solving
  • Organisation and task completion
  • Communication during complex or demanding tasks

Our approach focuses on practical strategies that support independence across home, school, and community environments.

Swallowing & Mealtime Support

Speech pathologists are trained to assess and support swallowing and mealtime safety. Some individuals
require additional support to ensure eating and drinking is safe, comfortable, and positive.

Support may include:

● Dysphagia assessment
● Texture recommendations and modifications
● Mealtime strategies and positioning
● Support for caregivers and support teams
● Collaboration with medical and allied health professionals

Our goal is to support safe and enjoyable mealtimes while maintaining quality of life and participation.

Frequently asked questions

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.

What happens during therapy sessions?

Sessions are tailored to the individual and may include games, conversation, structured activities, technology, real-world practice, or support strategies. Therapy is designed to build practical skills that transfer into everyday life.

Can parents, carers, teachers or support workers be involved?

Yes. Collaboration is an important part of therapy, and we regularly work alongside families, schools, support workers, and other professionals to support carryover into everyday environments.

Depending on the individual and therapy goals, some sessions may involve direct participation, while at other times it may be more beneficial for family members or support people to step out during the session. We always welcome communication through conversations, meetings, emails, and collaborative planning.

How often are sessions recommended?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Recommendations depend on the person’s goals, support needs, availability, and capacity for practice outside of sessions.

Do you support all speech pathology areas?

We support a wide range of communication, literacy, executive functioning, AAC, and swallowing needs.

Some highly specialised areas, such as complex voice or fluency/stuttering therapy, may be referred to external providers where more appropriate.
